- The recommendations were put forward at a workshop attended by executives of women-led NGOs at the office of Nobarun Nari Shikha in Rampura's Banasree in Dhaka on Wednesday.
- The participants called for effective enforcement of the Child Marriage Restraint Act, accountability for those involved in child marriages, and activation of child marriage prevention committees at union and ward levels.
- Other proposals included free legal, medical and psychosocial support for survivors of violence; better access to education, skills training and employment for at-risk adolescent girls and women; and the involvement of women-led NGOs in government policymaking and implementation.
