- Three organizers of the Revolutionary Workers Movement and the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement were detained by police while putting up posters supporting the garment workers' movement in the Chittagong Export Processing Zone (EPZ) area on Wednesday.
- The detainees were identified as Rakib Uddin, president of the Chittagong Metropolitan branch of the Revolutionary Workers Movement; Zahid, vice-president of the Chittagong Metropolitan branch of the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement; and Shanto, a member of the organization.
- According to a statement sent by Naim Uddin, vice-president of the National Committee of the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement, leaders and activists of the 2 organizations were putting up handwritten posters in the EPZ area as part of a campaign supporting the garment workers' movement.
